Twenty years ago I owned and operated a prominent Archery Business in Southeast Iowa. Shortly after starting the Archery Business, I went to the Northwest Iowa School of Taxidermy and incorporated taxidermy work with the existing business. The Archery and Taxidermy business both grew beyond my expectations, and it was very difficult for me to maintain both businesses at a high level. At that point I choose to focus my efforts on the Taxidermy business because it was my true passion. I eventually sold the Archery Business and became a full time Taxidermy Business.

I have been a full time Professional Taxidermist for nearly twenty years, and have enjoyed great success in both business and competition. I have competed against my peers and have won several awards at the State and National level. Among my most special awards was becoming an International Champion in small mammals, and achieving first place ribbons at the World Championships with game heads.

In 2006 Dan and I joined our businesses (Five-O Taxidermy) based in Michigan, and (Char's Taxidermy Studio) based in Southeast Iowa. Less than a year later we teamed with The Wildlife Gallery. Dan is now General Manager of The Wildlife Gallery Taxidermy Operations, and I am Managing The Wildlife Gallery Shop in St. Louis, Michigan. I am still able to offer the same world class quality, fast turnaround, and customer service with a small town feel in our locally based studio.
